We remove the bulk of the moss by hand rather than by force, so the tile surface and any protective coating stay intact.
Low-pressure wash
Where it’s needed, a controlled low-pressure wash lifts the remaining growth without forcing water under the tiles.
Biocide treatment
A biocide treatment inhibits regrowth, so the roof stays clean for longer after the work is finished.
Gutters and downpipes are cleared at the same time, since both are usually full of moss debris after a clean. Any small repairs that come to light during the work — slipped tiles, damaged flashing, missing pointing — are flagged in writing rather than carried out without your authorisation.
What Roof Cleaning Will Not Do
Roof cleaning is not a substitute for repair or replacement. If the underlay has perished, the tiles have started to break down, or the roof has reached the end of its working life, cleaning the surface will not change that.
